We were so blessed to visit London again this year—and even more special, my mother, Lisa, was able to join us! It was an amazing trip filled with adventure and meaningful moments.
One of the highlights of our time in London was joining Ben Virgo of Christian Heritage London for his incredible tours—one through the British Museum and another on foot through the historic streets of the city. These tours are truly a must if you’re visiting London! The city’s deep and layered history, especially its Biblical and Church roots, can feel overwhelming, but Ben does a beautiful job of bringing it to life. He gives glory to God and His gospel while honoring the men and women who played key roles in advancing His Kingdom throughout history.
We saw plates that would have been used by Nehemiah in the palace of Artaxerxes I, walked past the statues from the Parthenon in Athens—where Paul once preached—stood on the ground where the Catholic Church burned William Tyndale’s Bibles, and sang Amazing Grace in the pews of the church once pastored by John Newton, right in the heart of London. And there was so much more!
It was a joy to have my mom along for the journey, and we were also able to reconnect with our friend from last year, Yoon, as we explored the streets, museums, and historical landmarks together.

Although we did so much in London last year, this time we were able to visit the National Gallery and the Tower of London for the first time! The Gallery was an incredible experience as we stood in front of some of the most beautiful paintings in the world—works by Rembrandt, Monet, and many other masters.
I wasn’t sure if we’d be able to fully appreciate everything the Gallery had to offer, but we really enjoyed engaging our “critical eye” and taking it all in. The kids made their way around each room, pausing in front of every painting. A special moment came when they recognized some of the pieces they had studied in school this past year—that was definitely a highlight!
As we left, Jesse turned to me and said, “Dad… those paintings had a lot of drama!” Haha—he wasn’t wrong! There was certainly no shortage of intensity, especially as we tried to gently steer the kids past a few of the more gory or, let’s just say, questionable paintings on display.
The Tower of London was a last mintue decision but was so worth it! We could have spent a whole day here

Having my mom with us made the trip very special. I love her so much and my wife and kids adore her. From getting lost on the tube and having to walk long distances through crowded street, she did wonderfully!

I will always love London and will always hope to come back. The stories and people here are precious and powerful. And they inspire us to head back to Wales to where we are praying for God to continue the story!
It sounds wonderful! I had dinner with your mom Friday evening
and heard all about her trip and saw lots of pictures!
How awesome!! What wonderful memories! Love the photos and Jesses comment about the drama!! ☺️ love you all
